We offer a guided two-week exploration of Provence for women. Bring your mother, your sister, your best friend
or your daughter. We will stay in a fabulous 17th century manor house, with a
pool, close to the cultural centers of Avignon and Aix, and
just a few minutes from Gordes, one of France's most beautiful
villages. Accommodation for each guest is in large, shared,
twin-bedded rooms.
The stay will provide plenty of opportunity to do what you
love best-whether it is shopping in the local markets, exploring
the region's wineries, hiking, horse-back riding, lounging on
the Mediterranean beaches of the Cote d'Azur, or visiting the
workshops of local artisans. You will also have time to just
read and relax by the pool. If you are an artist, bring your
paints or charcoals - and be prepared to fall in love with the
lavender-filled landscapes that have inspired generations of
painters and poets.
Highlights include: Arles, the Pont du Gard, Avignon, Aix,
St. Tropez, Cassis and Les Calanques, Les Baux, Gordes, Les
Gorges du Verdon, as well as wine tasting and a lavender museum!
Price includes: accommodation, breakfast/lunch,
transportation by car or minivan. Price does not include airfare
but we can book your flights to Marseille if you like. All whole-group
activities at the places we visit are included in the cost of
the trip. Of course, your participation in these is optional.
If you you choose to participate in additional activities you
are responsible for the cost, e.g. this year some members of
the group went horse-back riding in the beautiful countryside
outside Aix. Please also bring spending money for souvenirs,
postcards, extra snacks and drinks, etc.
