The Provence... Perfectly summer
2016 tours are run by Claire de la Varre and Liz Priestley,
two Brits who live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
"We met when our daughters became friends in high
school. We discovered a mutual love of France and organized
and led our first tour, a women's group, to Provence
in 2010. In 2016 we are expanding to include Tuscany. We returned to Provence in 2012, 2013, and 2015. Using the experience gained from those trips,
we continue to develop what we feel is the perfect
vacation: a personalized, small-group setting
in a charming old farmhouse with modern comforts, and
sunny days filled
with a comfortable mix of sight-seeing, fabulous food and wine, and great
company."

"I grew up in England and attended the University
of Montpellier, France. I moved to the United States and
received my degree in Broadcast Journalism from UNC-Chapel
Hill. After a successful career in TV News, I ran my
own photography studio, shared a leadership business with
my husband, Peter, and currently own a horse farm in Chapel Hill. I am a yoga instructor, hypnotist and wellness coach.
Travel is my passion and introducing others to the delights
of Provence, and now Tuscany, is one of my
greatest joys.

Claire de la Varre
"I was born and grew up in Scotland, and have lived in North Carolina for 20 years. I am a hypnotist, hypnosis instructor, and adjunct assistant professor at UNC School of Dentistry.
I really enjoy the opportunity to lead the Provence tours each summer, especially getting to know all of our guests and share my love of the region with them. I am very excited about the 2016 Tuscany tour as well.
